KOMO TV Airs Story about Friday Harbor's Mayor and How He Benefited from Deep Brain Stimulation for His Parkinson's

SEATTLE, Aug. 3, 2009 -- KOMO Television (channel 4; ABC) recently aired a story by reporter Michelle Esteban about Friday Harbor Mayor David Jones, his journey with Parkinson's disease, and the treatment route he decided to take.

The piece, which features interviews with Mr. Jones, his wife, and neurosurgeon -- Swedish Neuroscience Institute (SNI) movement disorders specialist Peter Nora, M.D. -- included video footage of his Deep Brain Stimulation surgery at Swedish/Cherry Hill, how his life has improved since, and a glimpse of what his role as mayor entails.
