Jane K. Uhlir, M.D.
Executive Director, Women & Infants, Pediatric Specialty Care and Clinical Process Improvement
Jane Uhlir, M.D., is the executive director of the Women & Infants and Pediatric Specialty Care service lines, as well as the executive director of Clinical Process Improvement at Swedish. She has been on staff at Swedish since 1982. Previously, she has served as chief of staff at Swedish and has served on the Foundation Board for Women & Infants.
As executive director, Dr. Uhlir provides strategic, clinical and business leadership for the development of her service lines. She provides oversight of quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying opportunities for service and program growth and development. Dr. Uhlir works closely with the private practice medical staff to enhance and develop the role of Swedish in the broader community.
Dr. Uhlir is board-certified in both obstetrics and gynecology, and had a clinical focus on infertility. She was a partner at Pacific Gynecology Specialists, the largest fertility group in the Northwest. She is an expert in providing various fertility services, including ovulation induction, gestational surrogacy, sperm and embryo cryopreservation and assisted reproductive technologies, as well as endoscopic surgery and microsurgery for treatment of gynecological conditions.
Dr. Uhlir earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and her medical degree from the University of Washington Medical School. She also completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the U.W.
Dr. Uhlir is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the Seattle Gynecologic Society, King County Medical Society, Pacific Coast Fertility Society, Washington State Medical Association and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
