Dr. Kvidera has been a member of the Swedish Medical Center staff since 1981.

Dr. Kvidera specializes in orthopedic surgery, fractures and athletic injuries. He also has a clinical interest in hip and knee reconstruction.

In addition to sitting on Swedish's Orthopedic Task Force and Marketing committees, he serves as a clinical instructor in orthopedics at the University of Washington (U.W.) School of Medicine.

Dr. Kvidera earned both his bachelor's and his medical degree from the University of Iowa. He then did a rotating internship, followed by a residency in orthopedics at U.W. Affiliated Hospitals. In 1981, Dr. Kvidera completed an American Orthopedic International Trauma fellowship in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Dr. Kvidera is a member of the King County Medical Society, Washington State Medical Association, Washington State Orthopedic Association, Western Orthopedic Association, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and North Pacific Orthopedic Society.
