Kidney Transplant

A kidney transplant offers a patient with kidney failure the opportunity to lead a healthier, more normal life.

Kidney transplants are the most common of all solid-organ transplants, and the results are generally very good.

According to the U.S. Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network and the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients, the national survival rate of recipients 1 year after their transplant is nearly 92 percent for deceased donors and nearly 97 percent for living donors.
