Lung Cancer Screening

Dixie McAllister, Lung Cancer Early Detection Program participant and Paula Manner, the program coordinater. Read Dixie's story

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death for both men and women. More people die of lung cancer than of colon, breast and prostate cancers combined, and more than 80 percent of all cases of lung cancer are attributed to smoking.

Innovative technology offers new hope. Low Dose Spiral Computerized Tomography (CT) lung scanning can detect tiny lung abnormalities long before they show up on conventional X-rays. The scan is painless, takes only a few moments of your time and may help save your life.
