I did it. I completed the 2007 Danskin Triathlon! My Goal: Just to complete it - hoping to finish in less than three hours. I did in two hours and forty-four minutes. I trained all summer swimming across and back in Lake Meridian (half mile), one to two times a week, riding my bike and walking. One lung, 63½ years old - I feel great! |
Darlene has survived lung cancer chemoradiation therapy and a left pneumonectomy. Now, she does triathlons...Congratulations, Darlene!
