Swedish is among just a few in the Pacific Northwest to perform robotically assisted surgery using the da Vinci Surgical System, an innovative tool that allows surgeons to perform some types of complex, minimally invasive procedures with greater precision while speeding patient recovery.
Swedish is the first medical center in the region to use the latest generation of the technology – a da Vinci robot with four surgical arms. The fourth arm improves the surgeon’s control over the operative field and provides even greater flexibility than the standard three-armed da Vinci robot. Watch the video.
