About Our Program

If your child needs to be hospitalized at Swedish, he or she will be followed closely by a member of our team. Each of us is board certified, and we believe in quality of care and close communication with families and their referring physicians.

Philosophy of care

We function as an extension of your primary care provider during your child's stay. Our entire practice is dedicated to hospitalized children, so we are available 24 hours a day to closely monitor your child's progress and respond quickly to any changes in his or her condition.

Our entire practice is dedicated to caring for hospitalized children and their families. We help direct treatment, order appropriate studies, and work with any specialists your child may need.  During your child's stay, we remain in close contact with your child's regular provider, exchanging information and informing them of your child's progress. Upon discharge, our job is to coordinate a smooth transition back to outpatient care. This includes notifying your primary care provider about your child's condition, lab tests, medications, and any necessary follow-up care. It is our privilege to work with you and your child during your time at Swedish.

Conditions Treated

Although we treat every child who is admitted, from infants to teenagers, some of the most common diagnoses we see are the following:
