The Swedish Orthopedic Institute is the first dedicated facility of its kind in the Pacific Northwest and one of the largest in the United States. All orthopedic services are combined under one roof to provide the most sophisticated technology available in an efficient, patient-centered environment. The Swedish Orthopedic Institute is also the first in the Puget Sound area to perform MAKOplasty® Partial Knee Resurfacing treatment, a robot-assisted partial joint-replacement surgery that results in shorter hospital stays and faster recovery times. December 17, 2010 Swedish, Seattle Anesthesia Outreach Team Up to Help Deliver Needed Medical Equipment to Hospital in Ethiopia
SEATTLE, Dec. 17, 2010 -- Seattle Anesthesia Outreach (SAO), a Seattle charity co-founded by Swedish-affiliated anesthesiologists Drs. Richard Solazzi and Mark Cullen, recently joined with the Boeing Humanitarian Delivery Flights program and Ethiopian Airlines to deliver much needed anesthesia equipment to Black Lion Hospital – Ethiopia’s largest hospital. The delivery took place Dec. 16 with the majority of medical supplies donated by Swedish.
