The Swedish Orthopedic Institute is the first dedicated facility of its kind in the Pacific Northwest and one of the largest in the United States. All orthopedic services are combined under one roof to provide the most sophisticated technology available in an efficient, patient-centered environment. Unlike a traditional hospital, the unique environment is designed to create a stress-free environment, improving recovery time and leading to the smoothest possible transition from hospital to home.
The Swedish Orthopedic Institute is also the first in the Puget Sound area to perform MAKOplasty® Partial Knee Resurfacing treatment, a robot-assisted partial joint-replacement surgery that results in shorter hospital stays and faster recovery times. MAKO is available at our First Hill and Issaquah locations. To learn more about MAKO, click here.
Did you know we recently livestreamed a knee surgery online? To see videos of the live knee surgery and an archive of the questions viewers asked our surgeons, visit the livestream surgery page.
Many of our orthopedic specialists are also part of Swedish's comprehensive Spine Program.
To learn more about our joint replacement program or orthopedics in general, call our joint replacement coordinator at 206-215-9145. To learn more about our spine program, call our spine program coordinator at 206-215-6681.
