Treating Brain Cancer

Everything changes when you are diagnosed with brain cancer. It is a formidable – and frightening – disease. At the Ivy Brain Tumor Center, we provide the best treatment options that current medical technology has to offer.

Our goal is to help you live the longest, fullest life possible, and we are here to guide you through every step of the way.

Treating brain cancer usually involves some combination of surgery, radiation treatment and chemotherapy. The treatment goals are to:

  • Surgically remove as many tumor cells as possible
  • Destroy as many remaining tumor cells as possible
  • Prevent remaining tumor cells from growing for as long as possible

Highly sophisticated tests are done on the tumor tissue from each of our patients. This helps us develop an individualized treatment plan specifically for you. We are also able to offer our patients early access to promising clinical trials.
