Vascular Disease Services

Our Heart & Vascular Institute also treats diseases of the circulatory system, such as high blood pressure, blocked arteries and varicose veins. We’re experts at treating peripheral vascular disease (PVD), a very common disorder which can lead to heart attack or stroke if left untreated.
We have a broad roster of vascular specialists available to treat a variety of associated conditions through traditional surgery as well as with minimally invasive interventional procedures.
Vascular services at Swedish
Vascular physicians at Swedish – including surgeons, interventional radiologists and interventional cardiologists – provide a wide range of diagnostics and treatment for vascular disease and associated conditions. This includes traditional open surgeries, catheter procedures and hybrid procedures, which combine both surgical and catheter techniques.
Physicians at Swedish are pioneers in the use of hybrid procedures for complex cases and have been early adopters of advanced interventional procedures, which are nonsurgical treatments used to open narrowed arteries to improve blood flow to the affected part of the body.
