Jane Uhlir, M.D., serves as the Executive Director of the Gossman Center.

Theresa Demeter, Director

Theresa Demeter is the Director of the Gossman Center. With 15 years experience in management and education related to Women and Infants Outpatient Services Theresa brings a unique skill set to the management of the Gossman Center. In addition to her responsibilities for the strategic planning and development of the center, she is Director of Women and Infants Outpatient Services and Wellness Services. Cindy Irwin, MN, RNC-OB; Gossman Center Coordinator, Clinical Simulation Instructor

Cindy Irwin is responsible for collaborating with simulation center staff, director, and appropriate content experts, to develop courses, write evidence-based scenarios, and to facilitate and evaluate simulations sessions. She is the Neonatal Resuscitation Coordinator (NRP) for Swedish, and an NRP Regional Trainer. Before her work at the Gossman Center, she was a Postpartum / Newborn Clinical Nurse Specialist and has worked in high risk obstetrics for over 25 years. Cindy has taught obstetrical nursing at the college level, with a focus on simulation. Certified in Inpatient Obstetrics, she is a participating member of the PNW Simulation Collaborative, the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning. Moraima Castañeda, NREMT-P; Simulation Technology Coordinator, Clinical Instructor

Mo is the  Systems Coordinator for the Gossman Center and is responsible for simulator software programming, scenario and course development, operation and maintenance of the simulators, audio visual systems, digital video recording, and debrief systems. Prior to coming to the Gossman Center Mo was an Anesthesia Technician at Swedish Medical Center, Seattle. ADJUNCT FACULTY

Merllie V. Flores, BSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM
Merllie has been practicing nursing in Labor and Delivery for more than 20 yrs. She holds national certification in Inpatient - OB and Sub-specialty certification in Fetal Monitoring. She is an AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Instructor as well as NRP Regional Trainer.

Liz Graf-Brennan, MSN, RN
Liz Graf-Brennan is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the NICU/ISCU at Swedish. She teaches NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) at the Gossman Center.

Kim Watkins, RRT-NPS
Kim Watkins is the Respiratory Care Neonatal Clinical Coordinator at Swedish. She teaches NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), NICU transport education, and respiratory care department education at the Gossman Center.

Richard Breuner, M.D.
Richard (Joe) Breuner is a Family Medicine physician at Swedish. He received his M.D. from the University of California, San Diego and completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Washington. He is board certified in Family Medicine. At the Gossman Center, Dr. Breuner trains Family Medicine residents and Swedish physicians in obstetric simulation, including vacuum delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, and shoulder dystocia, including teaching ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics) courses.

Patrick Gemperline, M.D.
Patrick Gemperline is a Family Practice physician and serves on the faculty of Seamar and Swedish Family Medicine. He received his M.D. from the University of Utah School of Medicine, and completed his residency at Providence-Seattle Medical Center. He is currently the residency site supervisor at Providence and is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Washington. At the Gossman Center, Dr. Gemperline trains Family Medicine residents in obstetric simulation, including vacuum delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, and shoulder dystocia. He is an ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics) Course Director and instructor with 20 years of obstetrical experience.

Michael Tuggy, M.D.
Michael Tuggy is a Family Medicine physician at Swedish. He received his M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Ft. Lewis, WA. He is board certified in Family Practice and Family Practice with Obstetrics, and holds a teaching appointment at the University of Washington. At the Gossman Center, Dr. Tuggy trains Family Medicine residents and Swedish physicians in obstetric simulation, including vacuum delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, and shoulder dystocia, including teaching ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics) courses.
