The Swedish Diabetes Education Center, which is recognized by the American Diabetes Association, offers educational resources, classes and programs to help you successfully manage your diabetes and reduce complications.
Expert team
We have a comprehensive team of specialists trained to help people with diabetes and maintain better health throughout their lifetime. This includes certified diabetes educators, nutritionists, an endocrinologist, exercise physiologist and psychosocial counselor. Together, they have a combined experience of more than 175 years helping people manage their diabetes.
Take control of your Diabetes
Continual education is essential to maintaining good health. Our certified diabetes educators work with you and your doctor to create an individualized comprehensive education program. At the Swedish Diabetes Education Center, we:

Teach a variety of self-management skills

Provide the latest information on medication management, insulin-injection techniques, meal planning, exercise and dealing with stress

Help you manage all types of diabetes, including gestational diabetes that occurs only during pregnancy
In addition to individual instruction in diabetes self-management, the Swedish Diabetes Education Center offers a variety of classes in Seattle, the Eastside and Edmonds. All classes are taught in English; interpreters are available for individual sessions.
