Spine Center at Swedish Neuroscience Institute

With a full roster of spine surgeons, physiatrists, interventional pain specialists, neuroradiologists, and physical therapists, our Spine Center provides comprehensive care for a full range of spine disorders. In addition to minimally invasive spine surgery, and spinal tumors, a number of our surgeons specialize in spinal deformities and degenerative spinal conditions.
Our Spine Center has a spine registry, which helps us track surgical outcomes and contribute to research on advanced technology and treatment modalities.

About our program
We distinguish ourselves not only by providing superb care to our patients, but also by driving new technologies in spine surgery. The Swedish Neuroscience Institute is currently involved in clinical trials for cervical artificial disc implants and lumbar artificial facet joint implants. These new spine devices may in all probability revolutionize the future of cervical spine and lumbar spine surgeries. The results of this study will help to develop motion-preservation technology.
We also provide minimally invasive spine surgery to patients, when appropriate for their condition.
The Spine Center is actively engaged in research. We have a spine registry (outcome study) to follow our spine surgical patients.
