Caring for patients with life-threatening illness can place considerable demands on patients, families and clinicians. A life-threatening diagnosis may provoke a wide range of responses — and consequences. The goal of this symposium is to educate clinicians and enhance their competence in a patient-centered, multidisciplinary care setting.
