Dr. Knipe is a board-certified Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgeon specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of adult and pediatric disorders of the head and neck. Dr. Knipe takes great care to educate his patients and apply his medical expertise to guide them through their medical decisions. While practicing all aspects of general Otolaryngology, he has a special interest in sinus and sleep disorders. Dr. Knipe was born and raised in the Seattle area and completed both his Bachelor and Medical degrees at the University of Washington. Dr. Knipe completed further training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Tennessee, where he was privileged to care for patients in the internationally recognized Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

During his residency training, he solidified his commitment to serve the world’s poor and under-served through medical and surgical mission work. In his missions to the Philippines, he performs surgical repair for children and adults with cleft lip and palate, thyroid disease, and other disorders of the head and neck. A native of the area, Dr. Knipe takes the Northwest’s healthy and active lifestyle to heart. He is an avid runner and works hard to keep up with his wife, Robin and two young daughters. He also enjoys hiking, fishing and competing in ultimate Frisbee with his team of 15 years
