Formerly the Chief of Scoliosis and Spine Surgery at the combined Texas Tech University-William Beaumont Army Medical Center Orthopaedic Residency Program in El Paso, Texas. Dr. Rooney’s professional focus is on complex disorders of the cervical and lumbar spine and his practice is limited to disorders of the spinal column. His commitment to excellence has been recognized by his professional peers and he has been rewarded with awards from organizations to include but not limited to the North American Spine Society, Cervical Spine Research Society, and Scoliosis Research Society. He is Board Certified and has been admitted as a Fellow to the coveted American College of Surgeons.
