Philosophy of Care

As a family physician involved in emergency and occupational medicine, I am sensitive to the impact of injury and illness on the individual and family. In association with HealthForce Partners, I have provided medical advice over the telephone to workers in the field and commercial maritime vessels operating on a global basis since 1991. As medical director, I work with the physicians who provide medical advice through our 24/7 Physician HealthLine, and also oversee corporate and workplace Automated External Defibrillator (AED) programs offered to clients on a national basis. I am also the Medical Review Officer for the company's alcohol and drug testing programs. I am involved in a number of training programs including: bloodborne and airborne pathogen training, exposure response coordination and prevention programs. And, I am involved in a full range of workplace health solutions, including on-site programs offering first-responders and physician assistant staffing, as well as mobile medical services dispatched on an as-needed basis.

Personal Interests

In my spare time, I enjoy boating, fishing and hiking. In the winter months, I participate as a member of the ski patrol. I am also an avid reader with particular interests in American history, science and the great explorers. I am married and have three children.
