Jennifer Melville, MD attended the University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate studies in Liberal Arts. She attended medical school at the University of California, Los Angeles, and then moved to Seattle to complete her OB/GYN residency at the University of Washington. After finishing residency, she remained on faculty at the University for 11 years, where she provided obstetric and gynecologic care for many women, while also training residents in deliveries and surgical procedures at the University and Harborview Medical Centers. While on faculty, Dr. Melville completed extensive patient-centered research, focusing primarily on urinary incontinence and peripartum depression, and developed special clinical interests in minimally-invasive surgical techniques and urogynecology. Dr. Melville is excited to bring her experience and expertise to Northwest Women’s Healthcare. She loves the unique relationships that she is able to build with women during their pregnancies and throughout the many changes in their lives and enjoys assisting women in making personalized health-care decisions. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons, hiking, traveling, and gardening.
