Dr. Debley grew up in Northern California.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, San Diego in 1991, followed by four years at Chicago Medical School, earning her M.D. in 1998.  Dr. Debley served her internal medicine residency from 1998 to 2001 at the Oregon Health Sciences University.  She completed her fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Washington in 2006, with additional training in hepatology and liver transplant patient care.

Her husband, Jason Debley is a pediatric pulmonologist at Children's Hospital.  She has three children, Erica and twins Christopher and Patrick.
