Dr. Andrew Precht is the director of the Liver and Pancreas Transplant Program at Swedish Medical Center. He is also one of the main developers and surgeons of our Liver Center.

Dr. Precht graduated from the Medical Academy of Gdansk, Poland in 1991. He completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in transplant surgery at the University of California San Diego and went on to Stanford University for general surgery residency training. He then joined one of Europe's oldest and finest hospitals at the Jagiellonian University School of Medicine in Krakow to obtain additional experience in pancreatic and liver surgery. In 2000, he returned to California to complete a two-year fellowship in Abdominal Multi-Organ Transplant Surgery at the University of California San Diego. He then completed an additional fellowship in Pediatric Liver and Kidney Transplant Surgery at Children’s Hospital in San Diego. He joined the Organ Transplant Program at Swedish Medical Center in 2003.

Dr. Precht is a member of numerous medical societies including the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Northwest Chapter of American Liver Foundation.
