She assists patients in regaining independent hand and upper extremity function and returning to the activities they enjoy. She believes that educating patients about their condition allows them to make the best treatment decisions for their own individual functional needs and ensures a high level of satisfaction with their care.
Dr. MacLennan enjoys yoga, surfing, wakeboarding, swimming, and snowboarding in her free time. Her other interests include travel, reading, cooking, and backpacking. She is also a singer in the Sagittal Band, a blues-rock group composed primarily of hand surgeons, which performs at academic hand surgery meetings and fundraisers.

Dr. MacLennan's clinical interests include: the surgical and non-surgical treatment of hand and wrist fractures and injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome and other nerve compression syndromes of the upper extremity, arthritis, tendinitis, tendon and nerve lacerations, Dupuytren's contracture, and skin and soft tissue problems.
