Dr. Vrushali Gersappe is board certified in Psychiatry and a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. She completed her Psychiatry residency and Sleep Medicine Fellowship at SUNY-Buffalo, NY. She also completed specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) at SUNY-Buffalo and the University of Rochester.

Prior to joining Sleep Medicine Associates at Swedish, Dr. Vrushali Gersappe worked as a sleep specialist at Sound Sleep Health in Seattle. She was formerly a sleep specialist in the Department of Internal Medicine at SUNY-Buffalo, where she founded a CBT-I (cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia) clinic, and was formerly Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at SUNY-Buffalo.

At Sleep Medicine Associates at Swedish, Dr. Gersappe takes care of patients with all types of sleep disorders including sleep apnea, narcolepsy, circadian rhythm disorders, restless legs syndrome and parasomnias. She conducts a CBT-I (cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia) clinic for patients with insomnia. She has experience in Tele-Medicine and will be using her skills to develop a Tele-Sleep program for outreach hospitals in Washington.

Dr. Gersappe is passionate about research and education and conducts community seminars to increase awareness of sleep disorders.
