Dear Colleague,
Continued advances in cardiology have led to unprecedented scientific progress in recent years. In 2008, approximately 6.5 million diagnostic and therapeutic interventional cardiology procedures were performed in the U.S. It is expected that the number of interventional cardiology procedures performed in the U.S. will climb to approximately 8.1 million in the year 2013.
Technologies and procedures which impact patient care change on a month-to-month basis, thereby requiring specific changes to a physician’s practice. However, no matter how advanced the science, the successful application of interventional cardiology relies upon a practitioner’s ability to approach interventional techniques competently and confidently in every situation. This ability develops from the experience the physician has acquired to deal with routine situations as well as complex and unique problems that may arise.
Utilizing case-based presentations, this conference will expand the knowledge-base of attendees with regard to the nuances, techniques, strategies and new technologies in interventional cardiology. Expert faculty will share their pearls of wisdom in dealing with complex, challenging cases. You will find valuable advice on patient selection, managing complications, device selection, effective strategies and practical approaches to help you improve patient outcomes.
We hope you will take this opportunity to congregate with your colleagues, share clinical experiences and exchange new ideas and information, which are essential for the proper care and treatment of the cardiovascular patient.
We look forward to meeting you at A Case for Cases: Updating Interventional Cardiology from the Cath Lab!
Regards,
