Swedish's Community Health Medical Home Featured on NPR's Nationally Broadcast 'All Things Considered'

SEATTLE, Aug. 14, 2009 -- A story by KPLU Radio health and science reporter Keith Seinfeld about the 'medical home' concept aired Aug. 13 on National Public Radio’s (NPR) nationally broadcast ‘All Things Considered’ program.

Titled 'When The Doctor Calls And It's Good News,' the nearly five-minute-long story featured information about Swedish’s Community Health Medical Home as well as sound bites from Jay Fathi, M.D. (medical director for Primary Care and Community Health at Swedish); Carol Cordy, M.D. (a faculty member of Swedish's Family Medicine Residency Program and director of the Community Health Medical Home); and one of the clinic’s patients.
