MILL CREEK, WASH., Feb. 10, 2011 – Health care keeps evolving and the south Snohomish County area is about to get a completely different type of medical facility. Swedish this month opens a new freestanding emergency department (E.D.) and ambulatory care center (ACC) at13020 Meridian Ave. S., just off Interstate 5. A community open house is planned on Sat., Feb. 12 from10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the first patients will be treated on Thursday morning, Feb. 17.

Swedish, Seattle Anesthesia Outreach Team Up to Help Deliver Needed Medical Equipment to Hospital in Ethiopia
SEATTLE, Dec. 17, 2010 -- Seattle Anesthesia Outreach (SAO), a Seattle charity co-founded by Swedish-affiliated anesthesiologists Drs. Richard Solazzi and Mark Cullen, recently joined with the Boeing Humanitarian Delivery Flights program and Ethiopian Airlines to deliver much needed anesthesia equipment to Black Lion Hospital – Ethiopia’s largest hospital. The delivery took place Dec. 16 with the majority of medical supplies donated by Swedish.
