Ralph Pascualy, M.D., oversees Swedish Medical Group (SMG), the physician division of Swedish Health Services that employs more than 900 providers across nearly 110 primary care and specialty care clinics throughout the Greater Seattle area. He provides vision, broad leadership and strategic management for all aspects of the physician practices and services. He also oversees the Swedish post-acute care division.
His responsibilities include leading collaborative efforts throughout Swedish to ensure that our community physicians receive an exceptional level of service from Swedish; that they are engaged in meaningful efforts around clinical transformation; and that we are all working toward similar goals regarding healthcare quality and patient care and experience.
With more than 25 years of successful clinical, business, and administrative healthcare experience in the Seattle area, including at Swedish, Dr. Pascualy brings a keen understanding of the healthcare industry and its future direction.
Dr. Pascualy is a nationally recognized Sleep Medicine specialist who is board certified in Sleep Medicine and who currently appeared on the 2012 list of “Top Doctors” in Seattle Metropolitan magazine. He built the Swedish Sleep Medicine Institute into the leading sleep program in the western United States, beginning with its inception at Providence Medical Center in 1984. He is a former recipient of the distinguished William C. Dement Award in Sleep Disorders Medicine and has spoken and written widely on the topic of sleep disorders.
Dr. Pascualy also is a diplomate of the American Boards of Neurology and Psychiatry and a clinical assistant professor for the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He earned his bachelor's degree from Columbia University and his medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine before doing his internship and residency through the University of Washington School of Medicine. He completed a Sleep Disorders Fellowship at Stanford University Sleep Medicine in Palo Alto, California.
