Jeffrey D. Veilleux
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Jeffrey Veilleux has held this position since April 2008. He has been chief financial officer of Swedish since July 2007. With extensive experience in health-care finance, including two years as Swedish director of Finance, he provides needed leadership and vision to the organization.
Veilleux has management responsibility for all aspects of Swedish’s financial affairs, including financial planning and reporting. Numerous support departments and functions report to Veilleux, including Treasury, General Accounting, Reimbursement, Payroll, Decision Support, Patient Registration, Payor Contracting, Cost Accounting and Budgeting. Swedish Visiting Nurse Services also reports to Veilleux.
Prior to joining Swedish, Veilleux served as chief financial officer for The Polyclinic. Before that, he was chief financial officer for the Northwest region of Dynacare Inc. In his native Maine, he was a director of finance for Mainehealth, a multi-facility, multi-service health-care corporation.
Veilleux received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern Maine, and he is a certified public accountant.. He served an adjunct professor of taxation and accounting at New Hampshire College in Brunswick, Maine, and was on the advisory board of the University of Southern Maine’s School of Accounting. He is a founding board member of Roberts Music Institute in Bellevue, Wash.
