SEATTLE, Oct. 4, 2007 -- In light of this month being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the October issue of Seattle magazine features an article about a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer called Inflammatory Breast Cancer or IBC.
Two Swedish Cancer Institute (SCI) physicians -- Drs. Erin D. Ellis and J. David Beatty -- as well as a local woman treated for IBC at SCI were interviewed for the piece.
Erin D. Ellis, M.D., is a medical oncologist who specializes in breast cancer and J. David Beatty, M.D., is a breast surgeon and medical director of SCI's Breast Surgery Clinic on the First Hill campus.
