SEATTLE, Jan. 11, 2010 -- In March 2009 Swedish opened an innovative new clinic at Swedish/Ballard called Community Health Medical Home where patients pay a flat fee of $45 per month and receive all the primary care they need, including check-ups, immunizations, lab tests, and minor surgeries.
In light of all the recent debate about health-care reform, KCTS Television's (Channel 9; PBS) weekly 'Connects' program produced a seven-minute story about Swedish's Community Health Medical Home to let viewers now about this new nationally renown model of primary-care delivery being trialed right here in Seattle.
